East Honolulu Clothing Company was founded in 1993 as Double Paws Wear, a small home based business dedicated to creating comfortable, easy care clothing that is stylish, well made and fits real people. Over the years we have grown and evolved according to the needs and desires of our clientele.
In 1995 we joined with 17 other businesses to form Native Books & Beautiful Thing LLC. In 2001 we added the East Honolulu Clothing Company name when we opened a small studio/boutique on Waialae Ave in the Kaimuki area of East Honolulu. Horsechicks Hawaii, a new line of equestrian apparel was introduced in 2005.
In the fall of 2007 we moved to our current much larger space just 16.5 miles east of Kaimuki in Waimanalo. Moving allowed us to grow and expand our offerings as well as increase our following. It also happens to be just up the road from where Andrea's horse lives...a coincidence??
Owner/designer Andrea Weymouth-Fujie credits the company's success to a dedicated staff, a loving husband with a sense of humour and the support of many longtime repeat customers.
